Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said that to give a befitting response to the government of India over violating bilateral as well as global agreements with Pakistan, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government should have united the entire nation but unfortunately it is taking every step to further divide the nation.
Haq said that there is a need of unity among the political parties on Kashmir cause and regretted that the political leadership, especially the ruling party, has so far failed to convey a powerful message to India against its naked aggression in the occupied region.
However, Siraj welcomed the government's decision to establish separate Kashmir desks at Pakistan embassies all over the world but also urged the government to host an international conference on Kashmir in Islamabad.
The JI, he announced, is also organising a "Save Kashmir March" in Peshawar on August 25 to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian-held Kashmir, adding that another such march will be organised in Karachi on 1st September 2019.
The JI chief expressed concerns over the silence of the world on humanitarian crisis unfolding in Kashmir with every passing day. He said there are reports of unavailability of medicines, food and other basic commodities and the curfew entered into the 15th day in entire Kashmir. The international community and human rights organisations, he said, must take notice of it.
He however, reminded the world that its silence would not deter the Kashmiri people's struggle against Indian occupation. Thousands have embraced martyrdom in their seven decades long movement against Indian illegal occupation and now the flag of freedom is in hands of third generation, he said.
He also condemned the veiled threats from Indian defence minister about the use of nuclear weapons. He said Muslims have nothing to fear because they rely on Allah's help. He said the government should not show any sign of weakness against Indian threats. The Kashmir issue is a matter of life and death for Pakistan as the region is jugular vein of Pakistan, he said. Instead of being afraid from New Delhi's fake propaganda, the rulers should unite the nation and take bold and practical steps for Kashmir cause, he added.
